Valerie is one of the most sought out Lindy and Balboa teachers. Valerie has a reputation for her dance finesse, musicality, and showcasing fancy footwork. We’re extremely grateful to have her with us this year!
Jacob began his swing career in 2003 and been competing and teaching ever since. Known as one of the most talented Balboa leads in the world, we’re excited to welcome back Jacob!
Well-versed in various dance styles, Sam draws from his experience in Jazz, Tap, Lindy Hop, Charleston, and Balboa. He is a regular instructor at LindyGroove and a frequent guest instructor throughout Southern California. Sam is known for his ability to break down concepts and movements, and he excels at connecting technique with musicality in his dancing and teaching.
Sam started Lindy Hop at the UC Berkeley swing dancing club, where she quickly fell in love with the improvisation and joy of the dance. She is always finding inspiration from both current and historic dancers, and her dance lessons are crafted to emphasize partnership, connectedness, and having a blast while dancing.
Augie is originally from Texas and moved to California in 2001. During this time, he stumbled upon a swing dance competition at Memories. Inspired by the music and the dance, Augie has been a swing fanatic ever since then. He is always striving to inspire dancers and spectators alike and to bring the excitement of the big band and swing era for all levels of dancing.
